A finales de diciembre de 2005, caminaba rumbo a un suceso que daría un importante giro a mi vida. Me dirigía a una reunión de amigos, de mis amigos de La Rambla. Una reunión que marcó, sin imaginarlo, mi retorno como músico de blues y rock. Pero también algo que recuerdo con emoción de ese día, es que en ese camino mi amigo de toda la vida, Octavio, quien también fue invitado a la celebración, me regaló como presente navideño un paquete de 5 discos. Precisamente, el que hoy comento y que forma parte de mi querida colección: Legends of Blues (Cheapolata 2005).
Se trata de un extenso y exquisito material de blues tradicional, que incluye 93 temas en versiones primigenias de diversos artistas como: Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, Big Bill Broonzy, Blind Boy Fuller, Big Joe Williams, Jelly Roll Morton, Robert Johnson, T-Bone Walker, Leadbelly, Big Joe Turner, B.B.
